Mi nombre es Alejandra Polachini, tengo 23 años de edad. Soy abogada graduada de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, escritora en los tiempos de ocio, fotógrafa aficionada y, al mismo tiempo, tengo una pasión por el fútbol y una rara obsesión por la diversidad cultural.
My name is Alejandra Polachini, I’m 23 years old. A lawyer, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela, a writer on my leisure time, an amateur photographer. I also feel very passionate for soccer, and have a rare obsession with cultural diversity.
Empecé a trabajar cuando tenía 18 años en un Bufete de Abogados, donde adquirí experiencia en el mundo del derecho privado, con especial conocimiento en el área civil, mercantil, laboral y corporativo, lo que me permitió un gran desempeño en los siguientes años universitarios.
I started working in a Law Firm when I was eighteen, there I gained some experience in the world of private law, with emphasis in the civil, labor and corporate areas, this allowed me to have a better performance in the following formation years.
Por esa razón, recomiendo fielmente trabajar o hacer pasantías antes de finalizar la carrera, reconociendo que a veces es difícil mantener la rutina universidad/trabajo, lo importante es la experiencia que deja, sobre todo porque no tienes que comenzar de cero buscando qué hacer luego que te gradúas, pues estarías contando con una base que te permitirá crecer por tu cuenta cuando te enfrentes a la realidad post-graduación, recordando que lo esencial para un profesional más que la teoría es la práctica.
For that reason, I strongly recommend working or doing internships before finishing your studies, recognizing how difficult is to maintain a university / work routine, but the goal here is the experience gained, also because you don’t have to start from scratch, figuring out what to do after you graduate. Work will provide a base that will allow you to grow on your own when you face the post-graduation reality, remembering that what is essential for a professional rather than theory is practice.
Actualmente me encuentro ejerciendo en una Consultoría Jurídica en el área de Derecho Internacional Público. Sin embargo, al ser una Consultoría bastante atípica, vemos de todo: desde arrendamiento hasta casos con temas penales, en fin, un arroz con mango.
I am currently practicing in a Legal Consultancy in the area of Public International Law. However, being this a rather atypical Consulting, we got the whole package: from leasing to criminal cases, in short, “a mango rice” a local expression back in my country.
Ahora bien, en cuanto a los hobbies supra mencionados, me parece importante indicar que escribo desde que estoy pequeña, con escribir quiero decir, experiencias personales, cuentos de amor, poesía, entre otros. Mi primer blog lo cree cuando tenía catorce años, el cual, cinco años después decidí borrarlo, cuya razón no fue más que un gran error ortográfico que aún me avergüenza. A partir de ese momento, la obsesión por la buena ortografía juega un rol importante en mi vida.
Now, regarding the above mentioned hobbies, it seems relevant to indicate that I write since I was little, and by writing I mean expressing personal experiences, love stories and poetry among others. Started my first blog when I was fourteen years old, which, suddenly five years later I decided to delete. The reason was simple, the embarrassment I felt on a huge misspelling, which to this day, it still haunts me… From that moment, the obsession with a correct grammar plays an important role in my life.
Hoy día, tengo mi blog llamado A veces el amor no es suficiente, lo cree en el año 2015 luego de que el amor me golpeara nuevamente en la cara. En el escribo tanto historias personales como otras que no lo son tanto, tomando en cuenta que lo inverosímil es esencial para el escritor.
Today, I have a new blog called ‘Sometimes love is not enough’, I started it in 2015 after love decided to hit my face again. I wrote about personal stories and others that are not so, considering that the implausible is essential for the writer.
No obstante, decidí darle una oportunidad a mi ojo fotográfico. Me abrí una cuenta en instagram distinta a la personal. Me resulta gracioso escribir respecto a ella, ya que mi feed a lo largo del tiempo ha tenido varios cambios; el más radical es el actual, pasé de subir fotos en color a solo publicar fotografías en blanco y negro, pues considero que las fotos en blanco y negro tienen la capacidad de cambiar la perspectiva de cómo se ven realmente las cosas, es por ello, que siempre trato de incorporar una historia en cada imagen.
I also decided to test my photographic eye and give it a shot (no pun intended), so I started an Instagram account for it. It’s kind of funny to describe it, since over time my feed had suffered several changes; The most radical to date is the current one, it went from color photos to strictly posting on black and white. Considering that black and white photos have the ability to change the perspective of how things really look. That’s why I always try to incorporate a story into each image.
Ya luego de comentarles un poco quién soy, cuáles son las cosas que me gustan, mis experiencias, etc. Solo tengo una cosa para decir: Estoy super emocionada por compartir con ustedes mis conocimientos, aprendizajes, consejos, pues la finalidad radica en que esas pequeñas cositas les puedan ser útiles tal y como me han resultado a mi.
After this short introduction of who me, I only have one thing to say: I’m super excited to share with you my knowledge, to express myself and advice others, my purpose is to share these little things as they have been useful for me.
