Are you ready for another macro photography session?
This time and contrary to what happened in practically all previous sessions, i felt forced to discard a batch of photographs that i had prepared during a session, simply because i couldn't find a way to make the result even remotely appealing :(
I don't know exactly what happened, maybe it was the chosen subject that didn't deliver what i expected, the least of the least, i couldn't capture a scene that could demonstrate that blurred and abstract depth.
Therefore, i was forced to choose another subject, a stone, with similar characteristics to other subjects already discussed.
The stone's surface reveals intricate textures and rough areas that suggest gradual wear over time, as well as smoother areas that may indicate specific geological processes.
The geology of a region is influenced by a complex combination of tectonic, climatic and erosion factors.
This type of rock frequently undergoes tectonic, metamorphic and erosion processes associated with formation and exposure in mountain ranges.
The color palette includes deep earthy tones and lighter, more vibrant notes depending on the mineral diversity visualized.
It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.
Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.
It ended up resulting in a session of about 35% neutral tones, despite having added a little toasted pigmentation to create some distinction and distance the register from a more accentuated neutrality.
Maybe it would have been a good bet to leave the tones unchanged, but in the end i'm satisfied with the result.
