I was walking down the street after my walk through the old houses, and suddenly a wagtail sat down in front of my feet. I was glad. Quickly picked up his Nikon and took a shot. And the bird flew away. How disappointing. And the reason for the disappointment was a cyclist who jumped out from behind me and scared a small bird.
In Soviet times, there were not very many cyclists on the streets of cities. Therefore, in the Rules of the Road, it was prescribed that cyclists should move along the road, a maximum of one meter from the curb. Now there is a lot of car traffic in the cities, but there are many more cyclists, but the rules have not changed.
There are no bike paths in our cities, so cyclists ride on pedestrian sidewalks. Because of this, there are problems for pedestrians. Now there are electric scooters and other means of transportation on electric wheels. All this creates a real danger to pedestrians. Cycling activists are paying attention to these issues., but the city authorities are in no hurry to solve the problem of cyclists.
I liked how everything is arranged in Barcelona. Special bike paths. There are a lot of cyclists on the road. But, of course, the climate in Barcelona is not the same as in our city. There is no winter there.
