Tomorrow is the Old New Year

I'm not a wizard or a magician, I'm just learning to be one.

Wednesday is a day for walking.

I welcome everyone who came to see me, everyone who could be interested in the lights in the night.
I could ask you, friends - have you missed me? But I understand that I am not the Center of the Universe and not even the navel of the Earth. I began to write posts on Hive very rarely. The situation is such that I find time only to look at the posts of my friends and favorites. This winter turned out to be more stressful than it might have seemed in the fall.
I walk regularly, almost every day after the end of the working day, but I don't have time to show my walks anymore.
Tomorrow Russia celebrates the last unofficial Christmas and New Year holiday - the Old New Year. Lenin Vladimir made this holiday for Russia in 1918, when he made a Revolution and changed the calendar. Russians love this holiday very much and celebrate it almost the same way as January 1.



The city is still in Christmas decorations and illumination. Christmas trees stand next to shops and in other crowded places. I think they will still decorate our city for at least a week.



In winter, entertainment attractions do not work in our city. They are preserved until spring. When I walk around these places, I get a slight feeling of nostalgia and sadness. Summer pictures pop up in my head when there are a lot of children, young girls and grandmothers in this place. Children are having fun and laughing. It is felt that children and their parents are happy at these moments. Especially, of course, children. And now there is silence.









The silence is broken only by birds that have chosen the treetops in this park. Crows, jackdaws - they are the masters in this place, this is their kingdom.
