Wednesday is a day for walking.
I was on my way to visit my friend in the north of our region, the district center of Nagorsk. After driving about a hundred kilometers, I wanted to turn into the forest and relax a little, listen to the birds and breathe in the smell of forest herbs.. Turning the highway onto some kind of forest dirt road and driving about kilometers, I drove to this wigwam or yurt. I still don't really know what this object means, but I assumed it was some kind of bathhouse. Probably, someone decided to build this hiking sauna for the summer.
Я ехал в гости к своему другу на север нашей области области райцентр Нагорск. И захотелось мне немного отдохнуть в лесу, проехав соточку километров. Свернув шоссе на какую-то лесную грунтовую дорогу и проехав около километров я выехал к этому вигваму или юрте. Я до сих пор не очень знаю, что означает этот объект, но я предположил, что это какая-то баня. Наверное, кто-то решил соорудить на летнее время эту походную сауну.

I left the car, and I decided to walk a little through the woods to stretch my legs a little stiff from driving. It's nice to walk through the pine forest. In such a forest it is usually dry and clean. Trees in such places are thin, tall and usually without branches in the lower part of the tree, because this is how survival competition works - trees tend to grow upwards in order to receive more sunlight. I could hear the knocking on the trees clearly. It was a woodpecker knocking. It is very difficult to understand which tree this guy is sitting on, because the sound is reflected from all the trees.
Я оставил автомобиль, а сам решил прогуляться немного по лесу, чтобы размять немного затекшие от езды ноги. Приятно гулять по сосновому бору. В таком лесу обычно бывает сухо и чисто. Деревья бывают тонкими, высокими и обычно без веток в нижней части дерева, потому что так работает конкуренция выживания - деревья стремятся расти вверх, чтобы получать больше солнечного света. Я слышал отчетливо стук по деревьям. Это стучал дятел. Очень трудно понять на каком дереве сидит этот парень, потому что звук отражается от всех деревьев.
On my last walk through the forest, I turned my head in the same way and looked for a woodpecker among the tops of the trees, but I could not notice it. But this time I was lucky!
На прошлой своей прогулке по лесу я точно так же вертел головой и искал среди макушек деревьев дятла, но так и не смог его заметить. Но на этот раз мне повезло!
Well, what do you mean lucky? No, this is already a skill! I managed to understand which tree was knocking loudly and I saw a woodpecker. It was a large specimen and I managed to fix it a little on the camera.
Ну что значит повезло? Нет, это мастерство! Я сумел понять которое делово звонко стучит и я увидел дятла. Это был крупный экземпляр и мне удалось немного зафиксировать его на фотокамеру.
It's good to walk in the forest on a sunny day, especially when all the mosquitoes have disappeared from dryness and no one bothers with their bites. But time calls me to continue my journey. I got in the car, got back on the freeway and drove further north.
В лесу хорошо гулять в солнечный день, особенно, когда от сухости исчезли все комары и никто не досаждает своими укусами. Но время зовет меня продолжить свой путь. Я сел в автомобиль, вернулся на автостраду и поехал дальше на север.
