The mushroom season in my area has long passed. There is snow all around and it's freezing outside now. Last weekend I was walking in a small park and saw an old birch tree. To be precise, it wasn't even a birch tree, but just an old broken trunk and it was all covered with tinder, chaga.
Сезон грибов в моих краях уже давно прошел. Кругом лежит снег и на улице теперь морозы. В прошедшие выходные я гулял по небольшому парку и увидел старую березу. Если быть точным, то это даже была не береза, а всего лишь старый сломанный ствол и он был весь усеян трутовиками, чагой.
It seems that woodpeckers are very fond of this tree. The bottom of this tree was all studded with their beaks. And I thought that bark beetles did not live in the birch, I thought that the birch was too hard for these larvae and beetles.
Похоже, что это дерево очень полюбили дятлы. Низ ствола был весь истыкан их клювами. А я думал, что в березе не живут короеды, думал, что береза слишком тверда для этих личинок и жуков.
It seems that the park is not in a wild place, there are a lot of people in it, but still, the park does not have an owner. City officials don't care about what they can't take money from. Although probably, money was allocated for cleaning in the park, no one checks their use. I mean, this old broken tree has no place in this park. It's high time to dispose of it. Such trees are carriers of pests. The disease must be treated and woodpeckers alone cannot cope with it.
Вроде бы и парк находится не в диком месте, в нём бывает много людей, но всё же у парка нет хозяина. Городским чиновникам наплевать на то, с чего они не могут взять денег. Хотя, наверное, на приборку в парке деньги были отведены, но никто же не проверяет их использование. Это я к тому, что этому старому сломанному дереву не месте в этом парке. Его давно пора утилизировать. Такие деревья являются разносчиками вредителей. Болезнь должна лечиться и одним дятлам с этим не справиться.
