Kikimora

Veliky Ustyug is the patrimony of the Russian Santa Claus. Kostroma is the birthplace of the Snow Maiden. But Kirov is the commercial homeland of the Kikimora, all kinds of evil spirits. Funny, yes.
Who is this Kikimora? In the Soviet fairy tales of the 20th century and our century, this is a cheerful old lady of youthful age who lives in the forest, most likely, more often in a swamp. On the one hand, she is funny and cheerful, and on the other hand, she is a dangerous black swamp evil that tries to ruin a person in the forest. This is exactly what the original story was in Russian narratives. But now almost all the former evil fairy-tale heroes have become kind and help people fight evil.
Last summer, a group of enthusiasts for the development of the idea of the homeland of the Kikimora went even further - on the streets of Kirov they began to install such small figures of the Kikimora in significant crowded places. They have different names. I met the first one on the city Embankment and once even showed her. And I accidentally saw this figure on a bench next to the Theater on Spasskaya Street. It is called the Kikimora of Goodness. Someone even carefully dressed her for the winter period so that she would not be cold. Now I have a task - to find more similar figures. I found out that there should be 7 of them.

Великий Устюг - это вотчина российского деда Мороза. Кострома - это родина Снегурочки. А вот Киров - это коммерческая родина кикиморы, всяческой нечистой силы. Забавно, да.
Кто же такая эта Кикимора? В советских сказках 20 столетия и нашего уже века это веселая старушка моложавого возраста, которая проживает в лесу, вероятнее, чаще на болоте. С одной стороны она забавная и веселая, а с другой - это опасная черная болотная нечисть, которая старается загубить человека в лесу. Именно такой изначально она была в русских повествованиях. Но в настоящее время почти все бывшие злые сказочные герои стали добрыми и помогают людям бороться со злом.
Летом прошлого года группа энтузиастов по развитию идеи родины кикиморы пошли еще дальше - на улицах Киров стали устанавливать в значимых людных местах вот такие маленькие фигурки кикимор. Они имеют разное название. Первую я встретил городской Набережной и однажды даже показал её. А эту фигурку я совершенно случайно увидел на скамейке рядом с Театром на Спасской. Она называется Кикимора Добра. Кто-то заботливо даже одел её на зимний период, чтобы ей не было холодно. Теперь у меня есть задача - найти еще подобные фигурки. Я узнал, что их должно быть 7.
