I'm not a wizard or a magician, I'm just learning to be one.
I saw a new cafe today. The city is changing, there are more and more small original cafes where you can have a delicious and quick lunch or just have a snack and drink coffee.
This is a cafe-dumpling. In Soviet times, cafes where you could eat dumplings were very popular with people. But in the 90s, they all turned into some kind of eateries where you could drink cheap alcohol. Decent people stopped going to such small cafes-dumplings. Quite recently, I met a cafe "Pancakes, dumplings" near the house, I wanted to go there with my wife, but I saw that a contingent of marginal kind was sitting there.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the assortment. I expected to see the usual classic beef and pork dumplings. But there was much more choice. I took lamb dumplings with beef.
You can choose dumplings with meat, chicken, fish, even cheese and squid. I think I'll try something similar next time. Oh, yes, there are also dumplings with turkey, salmon and moose.
When I went into the cafe, there were no visitors there. The seller, who is also a cook, quickly cooked me a double portion of dumplings and brought it on a small tray. Then there were new visitors. There is a TV in the dining room and light pleasant music is playing. All this allows you to have a nice lunch.
These dumplings are made by hand without using any special machines for modeling dumplings. This gives a special taste to the dumplings.
You can take dumplings and dumplings not only ready-made but also frozen. There is a price index for frozen products on the table.
A portion of my dumplings (200 grams) costs 210 rubles ($3). A frozen serving (600 grams) costs 480 rubles ($7). It seems to me that these are very reasonable prices for such delicious dumplings.
I also took 2 sauces, tea, and 2 pieces of bread. I gave 540 rubles ($7.7) for everything.
They also gave me a candy as a gift. A trifle, but very nice. With tea - it's very tasty.
