I really enjoy this new era of fairly easy home theater PC-esque stuff ushered in by the likes of Fire TV, Chromecast, and Roku. What I don't like is having to get out of my comfy spot because the remote can't talk to the tv.
While other solutions exist, particularly IR blasters in phones, I like the elegance of having this turn into an-all-in-one remote.
Pros:
- Straightforward to understand
- Nice price
- Models available for many remote formats (Here I've chosen the Fire TV and Stick product page, because that's what I use)
Cons:
- Doesn't appear to have any 'smarthome' style integration.
