Beer with super powers
Last night was the second chapter of this battle for the first ring in the history of both franchises and this time Milwaukee brought out its most powerful beer to get the Rays drunk so they could come from behind and defeat them in the game. And simply when a team is sweet everything works out and as the saying goes: it doesn't end until the 27th out and that's how it was. The Brewers started behind very early on the scoreboard when the Rays scored four runs in the same first inning against the deliveries of right-hander Logan Henderson. A throwing error by Cooper Pratt, singles by Chandler Simpson and the greatest, Junior Caminero were combined along with the first home run of the World Series courtesy of Liam Hicks, but the response of the locals was immediate and in the lower part of the same chapter they scored two runs against the best starter of the Tampa Bay Rays, Drew Rasmussen
From the fourth inning onwards the Brewers' comeback began, when in the same fourth inning a fielding error by first baseman Jonathan Aranda caused the locals to take a one-run lead in the game. It was not the best start for Rasmussen, who could not get past the fourth inning and gave way to a Rays relief team that, although good, is very reliable after the sixth inning. By the way, already in that sixth inning, Sal Frelick made a nine-pitch at-bat to reliever Ian Seymour and then hit a superb hit across center field to tie the game momentarily at four runs. With the score tied, Cooper Pratt, as we say in good Cubans, cleaned himself up from the error starting the clash and brought the definitive run with a rocket to right field so that the bullpen could continue doing its job with an advantage and they will leave with the series 2-0 in their favor for Tropicana Field
Although the hitters did their job, the big MVPs of the night were the relievers. In total there were five pitchers, by the way, the first three pitched only one inning to leave the game with an advantage to two of the workhorses of this bullpen: Abner Uribe and Aaron Ashby. Together they mixed together to only allow four undisputed hits in the rest of the clash to the powerful group of Floridians. Special mention for the 28-year-old left-hander Aaron Ashby who once again dominated at will and has gone fifteen and two-thirds innings of work in this postseason without allowing earned runs, withstanding only five hits and striking out no less than 17 rivals, thus becoming the third reliever after Andy Hawkins in 1984 and Pedro Martínez in 1999 to pitch thirteen innings and allow less than one hit for every three innings worked, we are speaking without a doubt of a playoffs of consecration for the left-hander born in Kansas
For Monday in the third match of the Fall Classic, the managers have already announced their pieces: left-hander Richard Gasser for Milwaukee and a former pitcher of the organization such as the Dominican Freddy Peralta for the Rays
