Recent press reports have cited expert analysis as to when Japanese company Sony plans to launch the new version of its PlayStation 5 platform as part of intense competition among manufacturers.
According to the analyst, "Mat Piscatella" with the studies office "NPD Group," specialized in the market for video games, sales of the current platform for Sony "PlayStation 4" achieved good figures for the Japanese company, and is expected to be the volume of sales of this platform to more than 100 million units in 2019.
Mat Piscatella points out that Sony will launch the new version of the PlayStation 5 platform by the year 2020, seven years after the release of the PlayStation 4.
