So I am relatively new to the steemit scene, I joined on January 28th 2018. I joined more to share my knowledge than make any profit. I figured why share on other social media like Facebook where they make money off my work, kinda makes you feel like a slave.
Well I was very surprised when my fist post went up to $2, not my intro but my fist post. After thinking about this for a few minutes it took me close to 45 minutes for that post. So taking that into effect 4.4 cents a minute. Not exactly swimming in the money.
If I where to post this exact post on Facebook for example I would have made nothing and would have been out the same 45 minutes. My wife 
I totally believe this is due to aperence of her posts.
Back to the subject at hand, is it worth it. I believe yes, it takes time to grow a following. Your following and esteticaly pleasing layout will make you successful. Vary few people can make living from steemit. I am here to share my knowledge like I said, I have a job. Steemit is just fun in my opinion.
