Ulog and Actifit Report Card: July 9 2019: Networks and Nature

Nature

It's been a while, so let's start with the not-so-daily #dailychicken. These little chicks hatched a month or so ago and are now outside full time. They are part Australorp and part Ameraucana. And maybe part something else. Don't know yet, but we'll see.

They're currently living in our garden/small yard area, and they are voracious eaters. Much to the dismay of all my little goji plants.

Hey look! A surprise mushroom! No idea what kind it is though...

But thankfully they have left the rest of our garden alone. We're growing some cabbages, zucchini, tomatoes, some herbs, and peppers I think.

Networks

Then off to work. Today I worked on fixing up a damaged network. We had to replace some network jacks that were broken during an office move. #contactIT

After that I was remotely assisting some of our techs at other stations troubleshoot kiosks, gate readers, software issues. And we ended the work day with plans for a taco day tomorrow!

More Nature

But enough about that. When I got home, I was greeted by a lost goat. Zara decided it would be best if we brought him in to get him some food, water, and shelter.

And then she surprised me with a fish tank she got from her cousin. Once the goat was safe and secure, we started cleaning everything and finding a place to set it up. It also came with some glow fish and all the attachments. We filled the water (with a garden hose stretched through the house), added in the aquasafe, the rocks, and the "furniture", and introduced the fish. Looking lovely.

Next I'll write a "goat found" post on our community website. It's hosted by nextdoor.com, a site that's kinda like Facebook for your neighborhood. You should check and see if your neighborhood is on there!
