Assalamu Alaikum!

Yesterday, something happened to me that I feel I should share with you.

In life, we meet all kinds of people—some honest and some dishonest.

Yesterday, a young boy came to my shop asking for a plastic bag. He showed me some honey and said, “Brother, I need to put this in a bag. Please give me one.”

He also told me that they had just taken the honey out and were going to a Hakim to sell it. At the same time, another older man who was with him came into my shop. I am not sure whether he was his brother or his father.

I thought to myself, “Since you are going out to sell it, let me ask how much you are going to sell it for.”

They told me that it was around 1,900 grams of honey and that they were going to sell it for 4,000 rupees. They also said, “You can check it yourself. If you want to buy it, we can give it to you with love.”

I was about to give them the money, but then I remembered that my elder brother had recently started a honey business.

I thought, “Why not tell my brother? If they have more honey, maybe my brother can also benefit from buying it.”

So I immediately called my brother and told him, “Brother, some people are selling almost two kilograms of honey here. If you can come and check it, I can buy it too. If you need some, you can buy it as well.”

Before I could even explain the whole situation, my brother understood what was happening. He said, “They must have come to your shop asking for a plastic bag, right?”

I said, “Yes, brother, you are right.”

He asked me to let him speak to them. I handed my phone to them, and my brother became angry and started telling them that they were doing this kind of fraud.

They did not argue for long. They gave my phone back and said, “Brother, if you don't want to buy it, just tell us.”

At that time, I still did not fully understand what was going on. I asked my brother what he had meant.

My brother calmly explained everything to me. He told me that these people use the excuse of asking for a plastic bag and then try to sell adulterated or low-quality honey to people as if it were genuine honey.

Something similar had happened to me before as well. I had bought honey from someone, and later someone told me that it was not genuine.

That made me think: I was trying to help someone else, but in the end, my own brother actually saved me from losing money.

Later that evening, my brother brought me a bottle of honey and gifted it to me.

My elder brother, Muhammad Waqas, Alhamdulillah, recently started his honey business. He personally went all the way to the Islamabad area and brought what he believes is pure and genuine honey so that he can provide people with a quality product.

He also gave me a bottle to test and said, “First, check it yourself. If you are satisfied, then let me know. And also have someone else check it. If you find anything wrong with it, tell me.”

This experience reminded me of something important:

In life, we meet both honest and dishonest people.

Business certainly has difficulties and challenges these days, but if your intentions are sincere and you put your trust in Allah, He can protect you from loss, deception, and fraud.

Alhamdulillah for having a brother who looked out for me at the right time.
