Like humans, female animals have a mother's instinct to protect her children from other animal disturbances. That's what I saw yesterday with a female coreid bug protecting her eggs from predators.

She kept and clutched her eggs in the reeds, and miraculously they were sticky, without a grain falling down. When I approached her to take the picture, she didn't move at all from her place, she kept guarding her eggs.

The coreid bug, also known as the leaf-legged bug, is an insect belonging to the Coreidae family. They are classified as pests to plants.
