On my way home a while ago, I heard someone calling me, "Hey dude!" I stopped in my tracks and looked back. But I didn't see anyone there.
"Hey, dude! I'm here!" The voice was heard calling for me again. I looked around, but I didn't find anyone there.
Suddenly I got goosebumps; maybe it was a ghost? It's a quiet place, but where can there be ghosts during the day? I tried to calm myself. Or maybe someone wants to play a prank on me?
"Hey dude! It's me, Snailow. Try looking to your left, right at 9 o'clock; I'm here!" I heard that voice again. I immediately turned in the direction he mentioned.
Oh, damn! I chuckled. The little boy was there, happily crawling through the leaves. He's really small, but his voice is quite loud when he calls me.
"Can you stay here with me for a moment? I'm lonely," he said pitifully. I nodded, and he looked happy.
There, we had a long chat about everything, and it doesn't feel like time has passed.
I said goodbye because I wanted to go home. He was a little sad but understood that I had to go home. "Thank you for being my chat partner, even if only for a moment. I hope you come again tomorrow," he said hopefully. I nodded, and he smiled happily.
