I always get excited whenever I find a snail anywhere. My favorite of all the mollusks is the tree snail, especially the wrinkled snail. How cute they are with eyes that mimic drumsticks! As they crawl slowly, they always drag their little house wherever they go. Sometimes I whisper naughtily to them, "With your very slow movement, how many miles can you walk? Have you ever done that?" I don't know if they understand what I mean or if they just think I'm an idiot asking nonsense questions.
