Here I'd like to share some pics and information about the Marasmius siccus fungus, sometimes known as the orange pinwheel. I consider myself fortunate to have these growing in my yard.
According to Wikipedia, Marasmius siccus is a small orange mushroom that belongs to the Marasmiaceae family and has the following physical characteristics: a beach umbrella-shaped cap, white gills (though some are cream), and stems that are 3–7 cm tall and have a glossy reddish-brown tint.
According to my findings, the cap wilts and shrivels quickly, lasting only half a day, but the stems can endure up to a week before becoming brittle due to the sun. This fungus can be seen growing on dried twigs piled in shaded places.
