Focus Stacked Macro: The Robber Fly

Hey buddy, have a good weekend everyone. Today I want to show you some macro images that I took this morning. A fly that is larger than a paper wasp.

The asilidae or commonly known as the robber fly is a predator that is feared by other insects. It often preys on house flies, green bottle flies, red bugs, damselflies, and other insects.

The robber fly has a long tail with white hair growing on its face and neck. The shape looks a bit like a mosquito. When it flies, it will be buzzing loudly like a wasp.

I captured these pictures not far from my house. I cannot fully capture the images with the macro lens of a smartphone camera. I am currently collecting money to buy a DSLR camera, hopefully, it can be achieved before 2021.
