Hello gardening lovers on Hive Blog! My small balcony garden gets productive with the warm temperature and the sunshine.
One of the most productive ones are strawberry plants. We can find some ripe one(s) everyday. This morning I could find seven strawberries. I could harvest more but I wanted to harvest only really ripe ones so that my daughter can harvest when she comes back from her grandparents' place tomorrow.
All the strawberries are tasty but my favorite one is those with this type of a bit interesting shape. Roundy, shiny and seeds are deep in fruits. I mixed few varieties and don't remember which is which ...
Not only strawberry plants are giving us fruits but some of them are also growing runners and make new baby plants. I put soil around the new plants so that they can grow roots.
The next one we will harvest might be fava beans, which I like and miss a lot in Germany. Now we can clearly see their pots and they grow day by day.
I found a pot of really crowded sage at a supermarket last week. I bought it and split in seven pots. They look still crowded ... 😅 I will share the plants with my friends and the community garden.
Last but not least, my daughter's carnivorous plant (venus flytrap) started flowering. I read on the internet that we can take seeds and make new plants. We are excited to try it.

ドイツでも安定して太陽が照って暑い日が続くようになりました。うちのドイツ人は暑いとしなびてしまいますが、バルコニーの植物たちは元気です。
今一番元気なのがいちごで、そここに実がぶらぶらしていて日々何かしら採れます。今日は今季最多の7個採れました。本当はもうちょっとあるですが、子供が来週帰ってきたら食べられるように今日食べないとという感じの以外は残しておくことにしました。
見返りを要求するでもなくばかすか実を与えてくれる自然って豊かだな、ありがとう 🙏
今年はいちごを12株くらい植えました。いろいろなのを試してみたくてあれこれ買って植えたらどれがどれかわからない、、、このちょっとモンスターみあふれるいちごがめちゃくちゃおいしいのです。種が実にがっつり埋まっていて、ギラギラ光っていて、丸いです。この子たちのランナーから子株を増やせないか企んでいます。
いちご祭りの次は空豆祭りがきそうです。花が落ちて日々さやがどんどん大きくなっています。虫に食われていないか日々見守りつつ収穫を楽しみにしています。
あとは、スーパーで鉢にぎゅうぎゅうになって売られていたセージを救出してきました。7鉢に分けてもまだちょっとぎゅうぎゅう・・・。うちのバルコニーに一つ植えて、お友達やコミュニティガーデンと分けようと思っています。
家の中ではぎょぎょっという変化がありました。子供の食虫植物ががんがん伸びて花が咲いています。インターネットで調べてみると、種をとって増やせるらしく、種とりに挑戦しようと思います。
