Gardening morning starts. I wake up around 5:00 without an alarm and do meditation, yoga and water plants. I like morning time in this season.
I enjoy looking at each plants how hey are doing. One of the new comers of the year is the asparagus plant. Now it gets really tall and makes flowers. It is my first time to see asparagus flowers. Excuse me for the blurry photo ... it was difficult with my phone camera. But! I will be able to take photos with a good camera next week on 😊
Soup celeries are almost ready for the first harvest. I got to know it isn't difficult to grow celery in Steemit time from a post. Aphids and other insects are coming but celery never gets anything. We are not eating celery stick but using it for soup and stew so this is totally enough.
I let some of Japanese edible Chrysanthemum plants flowering so that I can harvest seeds for the next seasons. I like to have the leaves but it's more winter taste for me.
One of lima beans came out. They are from a bean collectors 'Rainbow Magic Beans' in Spain. I look forward to increase the beautiful beans to make bean necklaces. Not only their outlook but also I like that lima bean plants protect each other from insects.
This is the last photo. We grow Japanese herb Shiso (Perilla) for us and for a test garden at my friends' place to make Japanese Shiso Syrup. My daughter keeps some to sell at the local market I have stand.

夏場は目覚ましなしで5時ごろに起きます。瞑想とヨガをして、植物に水をあげて、この季節の朝の時間がとても好きです。
水をあげながら植物の様子を見てまわります。今年の新顔のアスパラガスはずいぶん背が高くなって、花を咲かせています。アスパラガスの花を見るのは初めてです。ブレブレの写真ですみません。iPhoneのカメラは優秀なのですが近距離で小さなものに焦点を当てるのが難しいです。でも！来週いいカメラが届くので、次の投稿はいい写真を載せられると思います。
スープセロリは、もうすぐ収穫できそうです。Steemitの投稿でセロリを育てるのは難しくないことを知り、以来毎年育てています。葉物などにはアブラムシもろもろ虫がついていますが、セロリはびっくりするほど無害です。うちではもっぱらセロリはスープやシチューに使う感じなので、この一鉢で十分まかなえます。
日本の食用菊の一部を開花させ、次の季節に種を収穫できるようにしました。葉っぱを食べるのも好きですが、私には冬の味覚です。
スペインの「レインボーマジックビーンズ」(https://magicbeancollectors.wordpress.com/)という豆のコレクターから買い求めたライ豆が発芽しました。この美しい豆を増やして、豆のネックレスを作るのが楽しみです。見た目だけでなく、リマ豆の植物は協力して虫からお互いを守るというのも気に入っています。
最後の写真は紫蘇です。うちのバルコニー用、コミュニティーガーデン用、友人の庭を借りて紫蘇シロップを試作する用に育てています。プラスアルファで、子供が私が出店している地元のマーケットで売る分を数株。来月には売れるかな？
