the real "Frozen" Princess...?!
Yuki-Onna is one of the most famous and powerful spirits in Japanese mythology. The name Yuki-Onna means snow woman. Simple and easy. I like that.
What is pretty much always said in the legends is that Yuki Onna are very beautiful, true femme fatale who can drive anyone crazy with her deep gaze.
There are even different snow women. I don't remember the Japanese names, but translated they were called something like Snow Witch, Snow Grandmothers, Snow Maid and so on.
But no matter what Yuki-Onna looks like or is called, what all her versions have in common is that if lost hikers encountered the pretty snow spirit during a snowstorm, it was their death sentence. They say no one has ever survived such a date with the Yuki Onna.
What I always wonder then, if they didn't survive it, who saw the whole scenario and could tell about it? No matter, anyway, legends are legends and always somehow exciting and just cool. Inspiring for art as well.
Do you know a story of this snow ghost woman?
But before I digress, here are the pictures.
Please forgive me this time less drawing steps... I make the pics with my smartphone and it had to charge. So I only was able to take pics at the finishing...
