it, he immediately put it aside and placed it in an open place. So that if anyone will buy, he can show it.
When the day began to day, many visitors who come to his shop to buy his wares. But, there are also just picky.
"Let's please, look at the goods first. Someone might like it, "said Imam Hanafi, smiling pleasantly.
A visitor is interested in the clothes hanging in the left corner.
"Can I see the clothes?" The woman asked. Imam Hanafi immediately took it.
"How much does it cost?" He asked as he looked at the clothes. This outfit is good. But, there is a slight defect in the arm. "Hanafi's imam shows the almost invisible defects in the garment.
"Too bad." The woman looked disappointed.
"Why do you sell clothes with disabilities?"
"This fabric is very nice and is in tune. However, because there is a slight defect I have to show. For that I sell it half price alone. "
"I did not buy it. I'll find another one, "he said.
"It's okay, thank you," Imam Hanafi replied still smiling inwardly, she praised the merchant's honesty. Not many traders to be honest with him. They often hide the disability of their merchandise.
Meanwhile there was an old lady, had been watching a shirt on her shirt. She kept repeating it. Then put back. Imam Hanafi then approached him.
"Please, the clothes are very smooth. The price is not so expensive. "
"Indeed, I really like it." The man put the clothes on the shelf. His face looked sad.
"But I can not afford it. I am a poor man, "he said again.
Imam Hanafi felt pity. The man is so fond of this outfit.
"I will award it to my mother," Imam Hanafi said.
"Is it true? Do you have nothing to lose? "
"Alhamdulillah, Allah has given me more sustenance." Then, Imam Hanafi wrapped up the clothes and gave it to the person.
"Thank you, you are generous. May Allah bless you. "The unfortunate poor man was grateful.
Toward noon, Imam Hanafi prepared to teach. In addition to trading, he has an assembly recitation that is always crowded with people who are studying. He then entrusted his shop to a friend of his merchant.
Before leaving, Imam Hanafi advised his best friend to remind the buyer of the fabric of the defect.
"Show the buyer that this dress is flawed in the arm. Give half the price, "said Imam Hanafi. Her friend nodded. Imam Hanafi went to the chaplain.
After dark he returned to his shop.
"Hanafi, today quite a lot are visiting your shop. O, yes! The clothes are also bought by people, "said his friend pointed to where the clothes are flawed.
"Did you show that on the arm there is a little defect?" Hanafi asked.
"Masya Allah I forgot to tell him. The clothes have been bought for the full price, "said his friend with a regretful tone.
Hanafi asked the traits of the person who bought the clothes. And he rushed to find him to return some of his money.
"Dear Allah! I already menzhaliminya, "said Imam Hanafi.
Until late at night, Imam Hanafi searched the man here and there. But was not met. Imam Hanafi is very sad.
On the side of the road was an old and poor beggar sitting by herself. Without thinking about it, he gave away the little flawless sale of clothes.
"Magnify this charity and the reward for the person who bought the blemish outfit," said Imam Hanafi. He felt he was not entitled to the money from the sale of clothing.
Imam Hanafi promised not to leave his shop again to anyone else.
The next day Imam Hanafi came to the envoy of a government official. The official gave the prize money of 10,000 dirhams as a token of gratitude. Apparently the father feels proud that his son can study with Imam Hanafi in his chaplain. Hanafi's imam keeps that much money in the corner of his house. He never used the money for his purposes or gave it to the poor.
A neighbor feels weird seeing the prize money is still intact.
"Why do not you use it or give it away?" He asked.
"No, I'm afraid it's forbidden money," said Imam Hanafi.
Only then did his neighbor understand why Imam Hanafi did so. The money was kept in the corner of his house. After he died, the prize money was returned to the one who gave him.
