Observing this week's prompt by the Ladies of Hive Community, this is my submission.

Both questions asked are challenging but I will provide my answers on "Would you ever take back someone who cheated?"

First of all, the word "cheat" in general and in the context of this article is a dishonest action that robs the parties involved of the amount of trust they should have in their professional or love relationships.

This dishonest action could mean anything as I have come to know.

#Improving The Meaning
❤Note: As you read this life story, take note of where and when I use these phrases; said partner and other partner. The said partner was the one who cheated and the other partner was the one cheated on.

A Life Story

I have experienced this and it is a fact that most persons have a broader view when it comes to the topic on cheating.

In this case, in a love relationship where a partner has or rather is having a casual relationship with an opposite sex without informing the other partner could be termed cheating.

This said partner chats online with the opposite sex and because it was nothing significant, did not deem it fit to inform the other.

The other partner discovered it and took it up that the said partner is cheating.

The chats were not erased or deleted. The fact were there that the chats was a casual one and it could be found that the said partner included the engaged status in the chats.

The other partner called it quit and not just because of this cheating per se but deemed it necessary to root out other challenges the relationship was having to validate the call off.

Over series of plea, the relationship issue was resolved and that was the harbinger of more ills in the relationship.

At the end of it all, the relationship, to be more specific, the marriage had to be dissolved and the motion was moved by the other partner.

My Take

My answer to the question is NO.

My answer is not on selfish grounds because if I accept such partner back, it wouldn't be healthy for the relationship even if I try to make things work from my end.

If I forgive such partner, there is the tendency that such partner finds it difficult to forgive themselves. They remain guilt-ridden and this can never be healthy for the relationship.

Also, there must be instances where such offence will be reopened and this is not healthy for a relationship.

This is my submission.
