I've never tried vinegar for the brine. I was a little concerned about flavor when switching from charcoal to electric but I've been impressed. It still has a good smoke flavor and is so much less work.

We have all of those predators in our area. We have never lost an animal inside the electric fence but have lost a few that escape the fence. I haven't gotten an eye on the coyote yet but I hear them howling

Yeah, I like the soil blocker. The soil you use is very important. If the mix isn't right the blocks will fall apart. I found one bagged soil mix that works but there are a lot of recipes around for mixing

I'm kind of in the middle on this. Some herbs definitely have amazing medicinal qualities but I wouldn't try to treat serious medical conditions with herbs alone.
