After nearly 2 years of wanting to visit the Kochi Muziris Biennale in kochi, I finally managed to do it a few days ago. Each year something or the other kept me busy and it just got pushed to the next year. The Kochi Muziris Biennale is an international art exhibition held in the state of Kerala in India. You can click on this link to go to the official website of the event.

It has multiple venues spread throughout the city, which I think is one of the best things about this event as it gives people an opportunity to explore a lot of the areas by default. This time the biennale was focused around Fort Kochi which made it so much easier to explore things by foot. The only challenge was the high humidity, especially in noon making outdoor places a little harder to access. The following pictures are from my day in Aspinwall House which had so many rooms that I have forgotten count.

The first section was about technology being re used into newer installations/products or showcasing a few of which aren't in use anymore. It was a rather odd but interesting thing to observe how technology has changed so rapidly in just a matter of few years.

This was my favourite sections from all of the days I think. The whole idea was to have fun! It consisted of some panes lined up with just water, pots and brushes. And one could simple draw whatever he/she wanted. The artworks faded out completely in about 3-5 minutes after the finished piece. I think this was such a simple but beautiful idea! Don't you?
