The 21st century love
It burns hot and short like a blue flame
So fleeting you'd doubt it ever existed
Way different from the Elizabethans
It's now 50 folds commercialised
Or better still 50 shades darker
Not the love the Troubadours sang of
Not the love Romeo and Juliet died for
Not the love Dante, journeyed the inferno for
Maybe the love that conquered Troy
Maybe love that brought Samson to his knees
For everything there's a price
Even love.
HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE
