Saludos para todos los amigos de la comunidad de Hive diy. Tengo el gusto de presentarles esta restauraci贸n del marco de este cuadro, el marco es de madera tallada y se ha roto con el tiempo. Este cuadro tiene m谩s de 50 a帽os y es una alegr铆a para m铆 haberlo restaurado con materiales f谩ciles y accesibles que tenemos en casa. El cuadro es una foto de mi hija mayor, lo mand茅 a pintar cuando era una beb茅 de cinco meses.
Los materiales son:
Harina de trigo
F茅cula de ma铆z
Cola blanca
Pintura negra
Vinagre y alcohol

Primero limpi茅 el 谩rea que estaba da帽ada, quit茅 los residuos de madera rota con un cuchillo. Con mucho cuidado para que no se da帽aran las partes que est谩n buenas.
Despu茅s hice un dibujo del dise帽o que tiene el cuadro con cuidado para tratar de hacer uno parecido.
Hice muchas pruebas con varios materiales tales como yeso pero necesitaba moldes y no los ten铆a a mano y la idea era hacer una manualidad con cosas que hay en casa. Hasta que se me ocurri贸 probar con harina y vi que s铆 pude darle la forma que quer铆a.
Se amasa la la harina con agua y se le agrega una cucharada de vinagre y 2 cucharadas de alcohol para preservar la masa, evitar moho y que dure m谩s tiempo. La harina tiene que ser todo uso o sea no leudante.
Hice un c铆rculo de masa de fondo para colocar el dibujo, que empec茅 haciendo las partes peque帽as. Siguiendo el dibujo hice pelotitas con la masa y elabor茅 los p茅talos y hojas.
Los coloqu茅 de a uno sobre la base de la masa y despu茅s lo puse en el marco para hacer el dise帽o, luego lo puse a secar y me gust贸 el resultado. Si la harina se amasa junto con la f茅cula queda bastante dura y sec贸 muy bien. Este trabajo lo hice como prueba y result贸 muy bien.
Al final lo pint茅 con pintura de cer谩mica. Escog铆 la pintura de color negro. Cubr铆 el retrato con papel y una tela para que no se manche. Tambi茅n pint茅 el marco que no estaba da帽ado para que tenga el mismo color.
Me siento muy feliz con este trabajo. Pas茅 mucho tiempo haci茅ndolo y estoy satisfecha de que qued贸 restaurado y como nuevo. Lo voy a lucir en mi sala y a mostrarle a todos mi trabajo el d铆a de visitas de mis hijos.

First, I cleaned the damaged area and removed the broken wood residue with a knife. I was very careful not to damage the parts that were still in good condition.
Then I carefully drew a sketch of the design on the picture to try to make a similar one.
I did a lot of tests with various materials such as plaster, but I needed molds and didn't have any on hand, and the idea was to make a craft with things I had at home. Until I thought of trying flour and saw that I could shape it the way I wanted.
Knead the flour with water and add a tablespoon of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of alcohol to preserve the dough, prevent mold, and make it last longer. The flour must be all-purpose, i.e., not self-rising.
I made a circle of dough for the background to place the design on, which I started by making the small parts. Following the design, I made little balls with the dough and created the petals and leaves.
I placed them one by one on the dough base and then put it in the frame to make the design. Then I left it to dry, and I liked the result. If the flour is kneaded together with the starch, it becomes quite hard and dries very well. I did this as a test and it turned out very well.
Finally, I painted it with ceramic paint. I chose black paint. I covered the portrait with paper and a cloth so that it wouldn't get stained. I also painted the frame, which wasn't damaged, so that it would be the same color.
I am very happy with this project. I spent a lot of time working on it, and I am pleased that it has been restored and looks like new. I am going to display it in my living room and show everyone my work on my children's visiting day.
