Estando al frente el director de Aterrados y Malditos sean, Demian Rugna, sabia que esta película de terror Argentina no podía decepcionar si adquiría su estilo grotesco y perturbador para llevar a la pantalla una nueva joya del horror Argento que nada tiene que envidiarle a las producciones extranjeras.
Si bien, fue estrenada en el 2023 , recién en estos días, pude verla. Oí tanto hablar de que era espectacularmente aterradora que no podía faltar en mi lista de películas por ver así que hoy, estoy aquí para hablar un poco de ella.
With Aterrados and Malditos sean director Demian Rugna at the helm, he knew that this Argentine horror film could not disappoint if it embraced his grotesque and disturbing style to bring to the screen a new gem of Argento horror that is just as good as foreign productions.
While it was released in 2023, I only got to watch it recently. I had heard so much about how terrifying it was that it had to be on my list of movies to watch, so today, I'm here to talk a bit about it.

Cuando la maldad acecha es una propuesta diferente sobre el género de posesiones demoniacas centrándose en las poblaciones rurales, en medio de la nada para darle un toque mas de horror al asunto.
Una delicia visual en cuanto a actuaciones, escenarios y efectos que son sumamente asqueantes y totalmente incómodos de ver. La trama fluye de forma congruente y natural, hilando todo de una forma que hace desesperar a nuestros protagonistas ya que no pueden escapar de eso que los persigue porque el humano es débil y el demonio lo tienta con cada una de las trampas que va poniendo a lo largo de la producción. En ningún momento se pierde la lógica de la trama principal y todo calza perfectamente con cada uno de los eventos que se van desencadenando.
When Evil Stalks is a different proposal about the genre of demonic possessions focusing on rural populations, in the middle of nowhere to give it a touch more of horror to the matter.
A visual delight in terms of performances, settings, and effects that are extremely repulsive and completely uncomfortable to watch. The plot flows coherently and naturally, stringing everything together in a way that makes our protagonists despair as they cannot escape from what is pursuing them because humans are weak and the demon tempts them with each of the traps that it sets throughout the production. At no point does the logic of the main plot lose itself and everything fits perfectly with each of the events that unfold.

Sin duda, no por ser Argentina, podría decir con mucha certeza que fue la mejor película de terror del 2023, llena de sorpresas aterradoras , con giros inesperados y un final que te deja una sensación extraña. Al principio no comprendes que fue lo que pasó realmente pero cuando lo captas, se te cierra el estómago y te dan ganas de vomitar.
Juega un poco con tu mente y nos hace ver como cualquiera puede ser víctima de la maldad y caer en sus redes.
Hay escenas gore , muy asquerosas y otras con sutiles toques de horror para adentrarnos mas en la historia. Una combinación perfecta sacada de las mismas pesadillas rurales.
Undoubtedly, not because I am Argentine, could I say with great certainty that it was the best horror movie of 2023, full of terrifying surprises, unexpected twists, and a ending that leaves you with a strange feeling. At first, you don't understand what really happened but when you get it, you feel a knot in your stomach and feel like vomiting.
It plays with your mind a bit and makes us see how anyone can be a victim of evil and fall into its clutches.
There are gore scenes, very disgusting, and others with subtle touches of horror to delve deeper into the story. A perfect combination taken from the same rural nightmares.

Gracias Rugna por traernos este espectacular filme de horror que rescata ciertos rasgos de las antiguas producciones de terror apoyándose de los efectos prácticos que siempre me parecieron mejor que el CGI.
Cuando la maldad acecha, sera dificil de digerir por eso, no es para todo el mundo. Sin duda, la nueva joya del cine de terror Argentino. Le doy 11/10. Si, es mas de diez pero que puedo decir ¡Es espectacular!
Thank you Rugna for bringing us this spectacular horror film that rescues certain features of old horror productions by relying on practical effects that I always thought were better than CGI.
When Evil Lurks, it will be hard to digest so, it's not for everyone. Undoubtedly, the new gem of Argentine horror cinema. I give it 11/10. Yes, it's more than ten but what can I say. It's spectacular!
