My aunt (mother's sister) is a cancer survivor... It was discovered early, and she was sent to Germany (in the 80s) so she had the best case scenario for a cancer patient, but even then, her overcoming cancer was something miraculous at the time. Doctors didn't believe it at first, but she's a doctor too and discussed her case with theo, so they saw her as a peer.

I only knew she even had cancer at some point is when I got older. She was perfectly healthy by the time I was born. She retired early from the medical career and it's been years since she was last up to date with medical development. Nowadays she studies and teaches Qur'an.
