In this tense ,the verb shows that action is continuing.

پہچان:  

                  اردو فقرے کے آخر میں رہا ہے،رہی ہے،رہا ھوں وغیرہ آتا ہے۔

انگلش میں ترجمہ کرنے کا طریقہ:

Subject + is/am/are+1st form +ing + Object

                                                                                          Uses (استعمال)

• It indicates an activity which is in progress at that moment.

e.g

The child is weeping.     بچہ رو رہا ہے

The birds are flying.       پرندے اڑ رہے ہیں۔

• It describes future planning.

e.g

Mr. Ahmad is going to Qatar tomorrow.    مسٹر احمد کل قطر جا رہے ہیں۔

• ٰIt is used with always to describe an action that happens more frequently.

e.g

My brother is always working. 

• It express more general present.

e.g

He is writing the novel.     وہ ناول لکھ رہا ہے۔

• Practice examples:

1. It is drizzling.   بوندا باندی ہو رہی ہے۔
2. I am taking rest at this time.   میں اس وقت آرام کر رہا ہوں۔
3. Smoke is rising out of hearth   چولھے سے دھواں اٹھ رہا ہے۔
4. We are collecting old coins.   میں پرانے سکے جمع کر رہا ہوں۔
5. I am feeling dizzy.   مجھے چکر آ رہے ہیں۔
6. You are saying good-bye to your friend.   آپ اپنے دوست کو الوادع کہہ رہے ہیں۔
7. He is diving in to the river.   وہ دریا میں غوطہ لگا رہا ہے۔
8. The children are making much noise.   بچے سخت شور مچا رہے ہیں۔
9. Akbar is harvesting wheat.  اکبر گندم کاٹ رہا ہے۔
