This summer 2025 is really crowded with cool anime. Every week I feel really excited waiting for a new episode... It feels like this season has something for everyone - from psychological horror to supernatural comedy.
In this post, I want to share 5 summer 2025 anime that I watched and highly recommend. Not just because of the hype, but also because they made me personally feel the emotions.
• 🔥 Dandadan Season 2
Genre: Action, Comedy, Supernatural
Studio: Science SARU
Season 2 is getting absurd but exciting! The spiritual action mixed with aliens and horror is crazy, but somehow it all fits together. Momo and Okarun are more solid. there are many hilarious and badass moments...
The battle scene in episode 2 made me pause and rewind 10 seconds because it was so cool. The visuals are crazy!

• 👹 Kaiju No. 8 Season 2...
Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Monster
Studio: Production I.G
Kafka is back and there are more challenges. The battles are really intense, and the character development is more pronounced 🔥.
I really like the part where Kafka starts to lose control - the sense of conflict is really strong.

• 👗 My Dress-Up Darling Season 2...
Genre: Romance, Slice of Life, Cosplay
Studio: CloverWorks
Marin and Gojo are getting so cute. I really like how their chemistry is getting deeper, but still wholesome.
The new horror cosplay episode is really funny, especially when Marin is scared but still wants to look total.

• 🧟 The Summer Hikaru Died
Genre: Horror, Drama, Supernatural...
Studio: Studio VOLN
Deep psychological horror. A story about a friend who changes and a mystery that creeps up slowly.
I like this type of horror - not many jumpscares, but keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout the episode.

An underground world, monsters, and a brutal social system. This anime has a dark but interesting world to explore...
If you like vibes like Chainsaw Man or Jujutsu Kaisen, this could be the hidden gem of the season!...

Those are my top 5 summer 2025 anime 🤩.
Each title has its own strengths - whether it's the action, the story, or the animation style. I personally like Dandadan and The Summer Hikaru Died the most because the story style is so different from the usual anime...
