Esta es la edición 48 de esta prestigiosa competencia, como es el Rally Dakar. La competición dio comienzo el tres del presente mes y año y concluirá el próximo 17 de enero, por lo que se cumplirá un total de dos semanas de competencia, como es habitual. Esta carrera siempre le da inicio a las competencias del deporte motor en el comienzo de cada año, una pruebas bastante exigente, con condiciones complicadas en los diferentes sitios de Arabia Saudita. El recorrido total de esta edición es de 7,994 km de recorrido y 4,480 km de tramos cronometrados. También es importante mencionar la etapa mataron queda incluida en las 13 etapas que estar comprendido este Dakar 2026. Esta es una gran competencia donde participan los mejores pilotos del mundo del Rally raid, una carrera a través del campo, donde los pilotos se disputan las etapas, llegar en el menor tiempo posible a la meta, además de sortear las dificultades que siempre se presentan como son unas dunas en el desierto que pueden ocasionar los volcamientos.
