Same as currency that was designed in the gold rush. Each bank had their own until the govt took over and made one currency. All others died after that and you ended up with the US dollar.
When there's freedom, there's risk. Put all of your money in a poorly run bank and you MAY lose.

Ah, there's the rub. This has not been resolved and to distract you from that they come up with bitcoin and block chain. The central banking sys is dying, they know it. How do you know if they are trying to recreate a system by giving it a new name and digital. No transparency!
