It is a horrible situation. Last year we (in NY, USA) were struggling to get vaccines in late winter/early spring. The sign up was chaotic and we were allowed no preference as to vaccine type. As the supply of vaccine increased, so did access. But still, the type of vaccine received was random. In my family, my husband and I received Pfizer. My son received J&J. My daughter received Moderna. However, at the time there was never the threat of being locked out of any place because of vaccine status. That threat exists now, since vaccines are 100% available (here) and at this point people can probably choose the vaccine type.

I'm sorry. I remember what it felt like, going online every night, hoping to find an opening. Eventually I contacted the president of a local hospital and he arranged for me to get a shot.

Hope things clear up for you soon. I hate this pandemic and what it has done to people. It has just killed and sickened so many of us. It has also divided us. Terrible outcome.
