A smashing ending. Well told, suspenseful. Believable.

It would be hard for me to tell you how closely this story hones to my personal experience. I read with a certain amount of nostalgic hostility :)) My family lived on a piece of property when I was younger than Terrance. There was an old barn that was never used anymore.

We had our own challenges, my siblings and I. They were older. Pushing someone off the ledge, of anything, would be usual. Enough said. Losing a child in the hay, though--that never happened. This twist makes the story quite special.
