I think the most important thing about a truth/lie piece is voice. Can't be too serious. Can't be too light. You strike just the right tone here. I was looking forward to reading this piece and was not disappointed.
No, I didn't believe Ronald Reagan wrote that letter. 😆 Maybe because I lived through Reagan. Maybe because in one of my many jobs I came into contact with FBI and Secret Service agents. But the rest of it--the lump in the street, the fear, the Smithsonian. Oh, the Smithsonian. One place in the world I felt completely at home.
The incident with Lucille Ball is sad, but real, so real. Thank you for taking us on a journey through this adventurous time in your life. Fortunate that you lived through some of it!
