Finally, my winding road today coasts to a gentle roll. Your piece had to wait until I could sit quietly, read and pay attention. I knew it would deserve my full attention.
You know I take the long view of things, and here is my long view: Everything you have done brought you to this point, obviously. I wonder sometimes where you get the patience. I wonder where you get the compassion, the desire to pull other people along. Now I know.
You've been on that long and winding road. You've suffered the slings and arrows. You've had your disappointments. You bring to the Inkwell here, to the team and the writers, everything you've learned. It isn't bitterness. It's empathy.
Plus, you are amazingly efficient. That comes from juggling what you don't want to do (especially that) with what you do want to do. You are a remarkable woman and I can only see you getting better with time.
Move over, world. @jayna has arrived.
