It's one thing to read something we wrote on the Internet, or in a book. But to see the hand that wrote the words is to recapture the moment. We live through our letters. This is a lost art, and you are fortunate to have these living memories.

Bill was your roommate!! I feel suffocated just reading about him. Wow.

My favorite character is Seamus. He wasn't behind a deli counter. He was on stage. Wherever Seamus went, the show went with him. There is a kind of good nature that inhabits a body that brings so much pleasure to people. That is truly a gift.

This is a great blog. You make me wish I had more of those written treasures. There are few that have survived time in my home, and at this point these are almost exclusively from people who have passed on. They are indeed treasures.
