The world looked like an impressionist painting before I put my glasses on or contacts in!

I have said the same thing. Really, the world is more beautiful. I think I prefer it that way, but it's not practical. Even today, I don't wear my glasses around the house unless I need to get something done, like cleaning or finding a lost item. Even now, as I type this, my monitor is a large, flat screen TV. No eyeglasses :))
