I don't know the particulars of your case, of course. But I will say this: You are fighting for your daughter. I have watched two fathers simply not care. I have watched two fathers who divorced and simply let the children fall away. Maybe there was regret, but no effort to get custody. No effort to have visitation. No effort to be a father. What you are doing will always be a part of your relationship with your daughter. In each case I witnessed, it was extremely wounding that the father didn't care. Your daughter will always know you cared. When the time comes for you two to be together this struggle will be glue that secures the relationship.
