For a moment he considered mercy
But looking at the devil in his white coat
He couldn't hold back
So he took his bat and swung it
Bones cracked, ribs broke
Teeth smashed, and blood pooled out
He swung and swung and swung
Until they was nothing left but a puddle of blood and bones
Finally, the devil was dead and he could move on
Except his journey thus far had led him to become something else
Something he dreaded
Something he just killed
He had become the devil.
