Greetings!
It has been a very busy week for me but still, I was able to play the beloved game to date (it is GU of course). It has been actually a very difficult week for me since the "Band of the Wolf" went live. Almost every deck that I get to battle has "Ember Oni" in it, especially Deception. Most of the deception deck that I get to battle after Band of the Wolf went live now has Ember Oni in it. Combined with "Cutthroat Insight", "A Toast to Peace", "Rapture Dance", and "Witherfingers" it becomes very difficult to beat. I have seen a very good Aggro War deck being beaten by a deception deck that has the cards that I mentioned". I won seven of ten matches on this edition of Daily Play & Earn.
With that being said, I spent two days making major adjustments to my Nature deck just to cope with the current meta and the result is promising, but the true potential of my newly revamped Nature deck will be tested in the days to come.
And without further ado, here are the gameplay of this edition of daily play and Earn, it is just so disappointing that I only get to battle with a deception deck once...
Victory #1 - versus Aggro Deception
Deception is my first opponent on this daily play and earn. My starting hand is consisting of Dagan, Bladefyl, and Wild Hog, I drew Black Jaguar on my first turn. My opponent responded with Switch Duelist, a very annoying card if not killed early. On my second turn, I drew Faefame Blade. I went face using Wild Hog, and I played Wild Hog. On my fourth turn, I got four cards on my board while my opponent has one hidden card on the board, I went face, further decreasing my opponent's HP to 18. At five mana I was able to play Vicious Manticore further decreasing my opponent's HP to 12. At six mana it was an anxious round since my opponent was able to play a 4/7 card with twin strike, it is a good thing that I got Poisoned Dart on my hand and I used it to kill the 4/7 card. Then at seven mana, I was able to control the board with four cards on my way to my first victory.
Victory #2 - versus Aggro War
My opponent in this match is Aggro War. My starting hand is Dagan, Black Jaguar, and I drew Nemean Lion on my first turn. I played Black Jaguar on my first turn which my opponent killed using Bar Fight and Auric Rush. On the second turn, I used Selena's Mark to gain 1 HP. Then on my third turn, I played Dagan which my opponent killed. At four mana my opponent got one hidden card on the board while I got none. I played Nemean Lion only to get killed by Blade of Stix. Next turn I play Vicious Manticire and I was able to clear my opponent's board. On my turn, my opponent played Raid Reveller against my Nefarious Briar. At seven mana I was at disadvantage, my opponent got two cards on the board while I got one, but I was able to clear my opponent's board using Vicious Manticore. But the opponent responded with Cage Berserker but I was able to kill it using Poisoned Dart. At the next turn, my opponent has run out of cards while I still got four which proves to be the turning point of the game on my way to my second victory.
Victory #3 - versus Midrange Nature
This match is against another Nature deck. My starting hand is consisting of Nemean Lion, Penumbra Howler, and Nefarious Briar. I drew Bladefly on my second turn. I played Penumbra first, my opponent uses Selena's Mark. On my second turn, I play Midnight Cat, again my opponent uses Selena's Mark. On my next turn, I played Nemean Lion. and then on my fourth turn, I was able to play Bladefly. After my fourth turn, I was able to play a wall of five cards on my board while my opponent has none. It proves to be the turning point of the game giving me my third victory.
Victory #4 - versus Control Light
This victory again Control Light is a product of one of my tactical gambles (I did not play Faefame Blade to go face). On my third turn, I got no cards on my board while my opponent got one card with Ward, I played Black Jaguar. Then my opponent responded by playing a card with a shield. It is a good thing that I got Amazon COnscript to buff Black Jaguar to kill the shielded card. At the third turn, I still cannot kill the creature with Ward. But on my fourth turn, I used Selena's Mark in combination with Canopy Barrage to finally kill the creature with Ward. At the fifth turn, I now got four five creatures on my board while my opponent has none which made me think that I am now going to win the match but I was wrong (which got extended for more turns). Then at six mana, my opponent played Guild Enforcer, it is a good thing that I already got five creatures that can attack. Then I was lucky that my Nemean Lion got buffed into 4/6 which I used to kill Guild enforcer. At seven mana I drea Dagan and got buffed to 2/4 after my turn, it is in this turn that I tactically not used Faefame Blade to go face and it paid off because my opponent played Zealous March and I drew Vicious Manticore effectively giving me the victory.
Victory #5 - versus Aggro War
Note: I was not able to record two of my victories.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
