Isn't it sort of annoying seeing the same users again and again in the trending? If you remember Steemit, we would mostly see same old users on the trending page. Very hardly a new user we would see going to trending page.
I am afraid I have noticed the same thing here on Proofofbrain.io. I am mostly seeing same users in the trending repeatedly. I am not saying that they shouldn't be there, but what I want is new users should also be at the trending, yes sometimes a few make it to the trending.
And I know that they are working hard to produce the best content but if still they don't make it to trending then it's frustrating for them and for most of other users too who try to work hard.
Why is it so?
I think the main reason behind this is the auto upvoting. Users get auto upvotes whenever the post giving more chance of exposure.
Users should prefer manual voting rather than auto upvotes because this would give chance to the new users receiving a vote for the good content they publish because you can not always auto upvote someone irrespective of the quality of their posts.
If this trend of same users being on the trending again and again continues then I am afraid this may hurt POB tribe very much.
I think if you have some time, always check the New Posts tab as well to see posts from users that are not being followed by you. You might some good content there, upvote for them.
Give chance to the new users as well as a bit of motivation for them and for other users as well. I am not saying that vote them blindly, but vote them for their work because some of them are creating good content.
Give a random user a chance to flourish. Everyone wants good content to be at the trending.
