Hoy les traigo un tutorial super especial, pues es un Top Lazo inspirado en Hive para mi entrada a la iniciativa fashion de @hiveredcarpet, pueden ver toda la explicación de lo que significa para mi la plataforma en el post en mi blog. Y como hoy es lunes de @needleworkmonday acá les presento la parte técnica.
Hello hivers, sewing and fashion lovers. Today I bring you a super special tutorial, because it's a Hive inspired Top Bow for my entry to the @hiveredcarpet fashion initiative, you can see all the explanations of what the platform means to me in the post on my blog. And today is the time of the technical part because it is @needleworkmonday.
Los materiales son: papel, lápiz, tela licra Sofia 2 colores, hilo, alfileres, aguja, tijera, máquina de coser, cariño y paciencia. Como ven primero dibujé el diseño, definiendo la forma deseada. Luego procedí a hacer el patrón, pero tu puedes tomar un brassier o vestido con esa forma, dibujarlo en papel, reduciendo 3 cms en cada parte más profunda y en los lados externos donde la curva es más ancha, para un mejor ajuste.
The materials are: paper, pencil, lycra fabric Sofia 2 colors, thread, pins, needle, scissors, sewing machine, love and patience. As you can see I first drew the design, defining the desired shape. Then I proceeded to make the pattern, but you can take a bra or dress with that shape, draw it on paper, reducing 3 cms in each deeper part and on the outer sides where the curve is wider, for a better fit.
Ahora en la tela con el patrón, cortamos todas las piezas, para el centro de lazo top y nos quede arruchado medimos el pecho como indica la imagen, mismo procedimiento para los tirantes, estas tiras tienen unos 8 cms de ancho, el largo depende de tu medida. Una vez con todas nuestras piezas cortadas: top, parte baja del top, piezas trasera, tirantes, bies para el trasero, centro del lazo, vamos a la máquina.
Now on the fabric with the pattern, we cut all the pieces, for the center of the top loop and we measure the chest as shown in the image, same procedure for the straps, these strips are about 8 cm wide, the length depends on your measurement. Once we have all our pieces cut: top, bottom of the top, back pieces, straps, bias binding for the back, center of the bow, we go to the machine.
Primero, empecé con la parte del pecho del top lazo, costura zigzag para cuidar las orillas y luego doblando hacia adentro una recta. Ahora cerramos los tirantes y el trocito del lazo que va en el centro del top. Este último lo atravesamos hasta llegar en el centro haciendo ya la forma del lazo top como indica la imagen.
First, I started with the chest part of the bow top, zigzag stitching to take care of the edges and then folding in a straight line. Now we close the straps and the little piece of the bow that goes in the center of the top. This last one we go through until we reach the center, making the shape of the bow top as shown in the picture.
Luego enfrentando los derechos unimos los bordes del top lazo y la parte baja del mismo primero con alfileres y luego repitiendo el patrón de costura anterior, así ya tenemos la parte delantera lista. Ahora vamos con los tirantes, en este paso para que las costuras queden escondidas, atravesamos los tirantes por los hombros de la parte delantera quedando el margen superior del top con el inferior de los tirantes encontrados. Allí pasamos costuras asegurando las partes, entonces el tirante le damos vuelta como sacándolo del top, así queda la costura y uniones escondidas.
Then, right sides together, we join the edges of the tie top and the lower part of it, first with pins and then repeating the previous sewing pattern, so we have the front part ready. Now we go with the straps, in this step so that the seams are hidden, we cross the straps through the shoulders of the front, leaving the top margin of the top with the bottom of the straps found. There we pass seams securing the parts, then we turn the strap as if we were taking it out of the top, so the seam and hidden joints remain hidden.
Vamos con la parte trasera del top lazo, primero ajustamos los tirantes y luego le pegamos el bies, haciendo como un sándwich para que igual quede la costura por dentro, una vez hecho esto, juntamos la parte delantera y trasera enfrentando los derechos, sosteniendo los laterales con alfileres y luego cosemos, primero en zigzag y luego una recta. Finalmente le damos y tarannnnn, listo el top lazo inspirado en hive. Let's go with the back of the bow top, first we adjust the straps and then we glue the bias binding, making a sandwich so that the seam is still inside, once this is done, we join the front and back facing the rights, holding the sides with pins and then sew, first in zigzag and then a straight. Finally we give it and tarannnnn, ready the hive inspired bow top.
