A bit a romantic to say, that ideas are coming from stars, but they aren’t. I knew about crypto and Bitcoin since early 2010 almost from the beginning, and I knew that it is awesome since 2013.
I was really fond of cryptocurrencies since late 2013 but there wasn’t many concepts and implementations to learn and to read about. So it took at least a four years to get experienced for generating some own concepts or arguably to criticize other people’s ideas in this sphere.
Tech side of blockchain was a slow and clumsy database without clear way of scaling. One guy on my own crypto conference (Blockchain Forum in Kyiv) said that mining looks similar scrambling a dolphins with a strict rule – the more we kill dolphins – the less we earn due to energy amount spending on mining Proof-of-Work currencies every day. It was immediately clear that cryptocurrency of the future should be built on a blockchain with a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, which will be fast and environment-friendly.
First blockchain platforms with a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism of synchronization appeared in late 2013 – the time I’ve starting to research crypto more deeply. Here I will not going to place a comparing of Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake concepts, but an aspects that brought me to start a development.
One more man suggested to name project with a little bit sentiment to Ukraine where we are locating for the present time, and a few days ago – I’ve got an idea how to name this project – Aeneas – real ancient greek strateg and commander Aeneas Tacticus, fiction hero of Virgil Aeneid and ukrainian cossack hero of Ivan Kotlyarevskiy Aeneid remix.
It was a significant that Aeneas Tacticus was a father of modern cryptography and both a steganograhy – science for figuring out the question of how to hide the very fact of information transfer.
No document published yet, but today is a day of Aeneas birth.
