Perhaps you have missed their recent news announcing they have made a breakthrough improving batteries size and capacity that will make them more compact, lighter and with about twice the capacity.
When the electric cars are able to drive more than 1000 miles with single charge, that will be a real game changer. For real.
Who would need a polluting diesel car then? Probably hybrid cars will become obsolete too.
