I’m Adriana, a 22 years old girl that was born in a small town in western Venezuela called Mérida, a particular place filled with things that make us feel proud, as a very large cable car and an ice cream store where you can find the most various and weird spectrum of flavors in the world (or at least that was said in one of those Record Guinness books), nevertheless, and despite all these qualities, we’re probably not so well known around the world, and my people, the Venezuelans, are always associated with another not so colorful news.
Well, this is the story of a young woman who is dealing with a bunch of age-typical crisis, wrapped in fears and doubts, worried about a future that seems to be more blurred every time you look at it, a young woman who, besides, it’s trying her best to go ahead while having what it feels to be a whole country against her, holding onto her dreams like they’re going to run away from her, in order for them to keep being her everyday motivation, the fuel that keeps her going.
This is my story, that can be anyone’s, because at the end of the day there’s more of what brings us together than of what pulls us apart, and unknowingly, we may be fighting the same battles, pursuing the same dreams, and if we’re lucky enough, we can ending find ourselves in someone else’s words, then we'll know we’re not alone, then we'll know it’s worth it.
