Man, another player on the countdown unlocking another core memory. Unbelievable. Rolle. Samari Rolle. I know that name pretty instantly, and instantly I feel like a kid again. I played with Rolle in Madden way back in the day. Such great memories.
Samari Rolle was a second round draft pick of the Tennessee Oilers (no, that's not a typo LOL) in 1998 after going to college at Florida State.
Rolle would play cornerback for the franchise for the next seven seasons and then spend his last four in Baltimore.
Overall, ten out of Rolle's eleven seasons were above average, but he had a single extremely good season with the Titans in 2000 where he earned his only awards as a pro, ever.
In 2000 Rolle had:
That season, Rolle was named an All-Pro and a Pro Bowler.
Rolle retired after the 2008 season with 31 career interceptions and 435 tackles.
I'll always have a level of appreciation for Rolle, since his name is a part of my earliest memories in gaming.
It's only right I share this Madden 23 game! Pretty sure I first used Rolle from Madden 2002.
