Jason McCourty is yet another Titans defensive back from the dark ages. He spent 8 relatively miserable seasons with the team from 2009-2016.
Jason McCourty was a fairly decent player considering the Titans stunk it up during the massive majority of his time on the team. He was a starter for five seasons in Nashville and I never had major complaints about him. Considering he was a late round draft pick, he is a massive success. The man stayed in the league for 13 seasons. Not many players, let alone 6th round draft picks, stay in the league that long.
McCourty played in 108 games for the Titans, including 90 starts. He had 13 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns), and 506 tackles in two tone blue.
After his time in Tennessee, McCourty would go on to play five more seasons with the Browns, Patriots, and Dolphins.
McCourty did have some solid success post-Tennessee. He won a Super Bowl with the Patriots in the 2018/19 season, playing defense with his twin brother Devin McCourty. I'm glad he got to enjoy some success after so many years on bad teams.
Jason McCourty, man I forgot he was a Titan there for a minute. I'm always reminded he exists when I see him on Good Morning Football. He does a good job on that show, very well-spoken with a nice level of enthusiasm. He still shows love for the Titans too, which is pretty cool if you ask me.
